The Boxcar Children Animated Movie

Meet Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny, four orphaned brothers and sisters who mysteriously appear in a small town on a warm summer night. No one knows who these young wanderers are or where they have come from. Fearful of being sent to live with a grandfather they have never met, they turn an abandoned boxcar into their new secret home.

Ambitious and resourceful, the plucky children make a happy life for themselves. As time passes, they discover the struggles and rewards of independence as well as the joys of family.

Zachary Gordon won the Young Artists Award, in the best supporting actor category, for his performance in the motion picture “Georgia Rule” starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda. Since then, he’s appeared in “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” played young Bloom, Adrien Brody’s character as a boy, in “The Brothers Bloom” and played the starring role in “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. He reprised his role as Greg Heffley in the sequels, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days”.

Joey was nine years old when she landed her first lead role in the feature “Ramona and Beezus” and has gone on to star in some of the biggest movies ever made, including “The Dark Knight Rises”, “OZ The Great and Powerful”, “White House Down” and the upcoming “Stonewall” for Roland Emmerich. She has voiced some of the most famous characters in animation including the yellow fur ball Katie, for the animated feature “Horton Hears A Who”, and Beaver, for “Ice Age 3-D”. She has also voiced the lead character Jessie, in the book series movie adaptation of “The Boxcar Children.”

 ‘Violet’

At age 11 Mackenzie landed her breakthrough role as Renesmee, the daughter of Bella and Edward in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 1” (2011) and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 2” (2012). Since then she has filmed “The Conjuring”, “Wish You Well”, “Plastic Jesus”. She has lent her voice to “The Boxcar Children” and “The Little Prince”. She has a lead role in the upcoming Chris Nolan blockbuster “Interstellar”.

“Benny”

Jadon is best known for his work in the smash hits “The Lego Movie”, “Frozen” & “Wreck-It-Ralph”. He also played “Cubby” on the TV series “Jake and the Neverland Pirates” and is playing a lead role in James Franco’s upcoming feature film “Bukowski” about the writer Charles Bukowski’s formative years.

“Grandfather Alden”

Mr. Sheen earned a Tony Award nomination in 1965 for his work in “The Subject Was Roses”. After appearing on television, he made his film debut in 1967’s “The Incident”. In the 1970s, Sheen gave several great performances in films such as the adaptation “Catch-22”, “Badlands”, and “Apocalypse Now”. He went on to give strong performances in “Gandhi”, “Wall Street”, “The American President”, “Catch Me if You Can” and “The Departed”.

J.K. Simmons “Dr. Moore”

Best known for his role as J. Jonah Jameson in the hit “Spider-Man” movies, Mr. Simmons also has a long and successful career in television. He is known for his roles of Dr. Skoda, a police psychiatrist, who appeared in “Law & Order” and Vernon Schillinger in the HBO series “Oz”. He has appeared in over 50 major motion pictures and television series.

The Creators

Dan Chuba

As a founding partner of Hammerhead Productions Dan has overseen digital visual effects and computer animation on over 100 major motions pictures. His recent credits include “Heaven Is For Real”, “Godzilla”, and the upcoming Sony Pictures film “Fury” starring Brad Pitt. He has produced all nine of Hammerhead’s animated feature films. “The Boxcar Children” is his directorial debut.

Mark Dippe

Mark has a long history in Hollywood as a digital pioneer. As a VFX supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic he supervised work on some of the most groundbreaking films in history, creating the dinosaurs in JURASSIC PARK, water pseudo-pod in THE ABYSS and the liquid metal man in TERMINATOR 2. He has directed several films for The Disney Channel as well as the feature film SPAWN for New Line Cinema. In 2003 Mark joined Hammerhead to lead their feature film character animation division. He has directed seven of the companies nine CG features.
